Dear AAPBS Members,
On behalf of Universitas Terbuka, I am delighted to welcome you to Bali for the AAPBS 2026 Annual Meeting. For more than three decades, Universitas Terbuka have made higher education open to all in Indonesia.
This year’s theme, “AI and Digitalization in Business School: A New Chapter,” reflects a decisive moment for higher education. As AI reshapes how we teach, research, and lead, your insights will be essential in defining the future role of business schools in a rapidly evolving world. Beyond technological change, this topic invites us to reflect on the future mission of business schools, how we cultivate critical thinking, ethical leadership, and human-centered innovation in an increasingly digital era. Your expertise and contributions are essential to advancing this collective reflection.

The event will be held at The Anvaya Beach Resort Bali (maps above). From the I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport (Bali’s Airport) you can take taxi/car (8-15 min) or walking (30-40 min)

Bali Standard Time is 8 hours ahead of Greenwich Mean Time (GMT+8). Indonesia does not operate Daylight-Saving Time.
Transportation
Taxi fare from the airport to event venue ranges from 50,000-100,000 Indonesian Rupiah (IDR) / 4-8 USD. Gojek/Grab/Maxim have become very popular in Bali with flexible fare. Download it to your iPhone or Android Phones to use on the go.
Currency
Indonesian Rupiah (IDR) is the country official currency. One US dollar is equivalent to approximately 17,000 IDR. You are advised to exchange your own country currency to IDR at the airport exchange shops or local bank stores. There is also many money changer in Bali.
Wi-fi and Cellular data
Wi-fi is offered free at most hotels, restaurants and local shops in Bali, Indonesia with or without password. You may easily purchase a pre-paid SIM card for cellular data for your use at the airport or local convenient stores.
